The inspiration for the colours that make up our Marled Ontario Twin Sock design is:
- Red for the First Nations of Ontario
- Three shades of Green for the forests and the fields
- Two shades of Blue for the countless lakes and rivers
- White for the fluffy white clouds in the sky
- two single skeins hand dyed at the same time for matching socks (start at the same end of each skein)
- semi-tonal pattern repeats every 7 stripes
- 80% superwash Merino / 20% nylon blend
- approximately 50g + 50g / 200m + 200m
- fingering weight
- gently hand wash in cold water
- air dry
- may bleed
The following Marled Mini Sock yarn colours complement Marled Ontario to add heels, toes and cuffs: Marled Deep Green, Marled Red Cloak and Marled Naturally. Please click on the name of the colour to order. If you would prefer a non-marled look you can choose from our semi-tonal Mini Sock yarns: Blue, Muskoka Woods Green, Deep Green, Forest Green, Red Cloak, Naturally and Lake Huron Blue.
The striping pattern in the sample in the photograph was knit with 2.5 mm needles over 70 stitches.
All yarns are hand dyed in a smoke-free, pet friendly environment.
Great care is taken when photographing our yarns to represent their colour accurately however, the colour may vary from monitor to monitor.
