On Saturday, at the Fergus Fibre Festival, Timber Yarns launched our exciting new line of Twin Sock designs - CANADA - "The Provinces and Territories" - and they were a big hit. Each province and territory is represented using colourways that are inspired by features associated with the province or territory and are available in regular or marled fingering weight yarn. This Twin Sock design is inspired by gingerbread cookies.  It knits up to produce a sock with bright green and red stripes against a rich brown background that is perfect for the Christmas season.

  • two single skeins hand dyed at the same time for matching socks (start at the same end of each skein)
  • semi-tonal pattern repeats every 6 stripes
  • 80% superwash Merino / 20% nylon blend
  • approximately 50g + 50g / 200m + 200m
  • fingering weight
  • gently hand wash in cold water
  • air dry
  • may bleed

The following Mini Sock yarn colours complement Gingerbread to add heels, toes and cuffs:  Dark Green, Gingerbread Brown, Naturally and Red.  Please click on the name of the colour to order.

The striping pattern in the sample in the photograph was knit with 2.5 mm needles over 70 stitches.

    All yarns are hand dyed in a smoke-free, pet friendly environment.
